• Forest Peoples Project. We are the UK-registered charitable arm of the Forest Peoples Programme. Our long-term goal is improved social, economic and environmental conditions for indigenous and tribal forest peoples. We have extensive and long-term field programmes in Venezuela, the three Guyanas (Guyana, Suriname and French Guyana), Central Africa, South and South-East Asia, and Central Siberia. In Africa, for example, our work focuses on the indigenous "Pygmy" peoples of the forests of the Congo Basin, ranging from Cameroon to Burundi.
