Language skills have become essential in conflict fields. The translators that accompany the forces and humanitarian missions risk their life on a daily basis. Many of them have died in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Partly to show the firms operating in this area, but also to honor these people, we have created this space. Some of the firms listed on our PMCs and PSCs sections offer language services. You might like to browse those pages while we populate this list.

We are very impatient and always treat PrivateMilitary.org as a work in progress. We continue to offer a free service and grow organically, just as your feedback dictates. These are the reasons why you see this empty space. We went ahead and created the directory to show you where we will be concentrating over the next few weeks. However, you can always contact us if you want us to consider your company for listing in this page.

• Global Linguistic Solutions. GLS is a joint venture between DynCorp International and McNeil Technologies. GLS has been selected by the Army for a critical mission: we will BE the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command’s (INSCOM) provider and partner of choice for foreign language interpretation and translation services. This is a sample list. While some of the companies listed above are key players and have been amply discussed in the Private Military/Security Company literature and debate, some other are emerging firms or have been incorporated to the list by request. For further information on a particular company or service please contact the respective source.
